<br /> 223 <br /> Hastings, Minnesota <br /> April 4, 1983 <br /> The City Council of the City of Hastings, Minnesota met in <br /> a regular meeting Monday, April 4, 1983 at 7:30 p.m. in the Council <br /> Chambers of the City Hall. <br />r Members Present: Councilmen Karnick, Nesbitt, Klimek, Pike, <br /> Plan, Kulzer, Trautmann, Werner, and Mayor Stoffel. <br /> Members Absent: None. <br /> The Mayor called for additions or corrections to the minutes <br /> of the meeting of March 21, 1983 and hearing none declared the minutes <br /> approved as presented. <br /> The Mayor called for additions or corrections to the Special <br /> meeting of March 30, 1983 and hearing none declared the minutes approved <br />orI as presented. <br />m The Mayor opened the public hearing at 7:32 p.m. PUBLIC HEARING - <br />0 to <br />m consider the rezoning request for a mobile home park - Sonden - REZONING ~ SONDEN <br /> in a A to an R-5 zoning district. Legal notices of the hear- MOBILE HOME PARK <br />m ing were read into the record by the City Planner. Everyone PROPOSAL <br /><( desiring to speak on the matter was given the opportunity to <br /> do so. The Mayor closed the public hearing at 7:41 p.m. <br /> Moved by Councilman Nesbitt, seconded by Councilman <br /> Trautmann to pass the 2nd Reading of the rezoning request from <br /> an A to an R-5 for a mobile home park - Willis Olson. This is <br /> subject to the developer following the development review pro- <br /> cess and obtaining a mobile home park permit before any construct- <br />,--. ion starts. Ayes, 7. Naye, Karnick. <br /> , <br /> Moved by Councilman Trautmann, seconded by Counci1- AWARD BID - SOFTBALL <br /> man Klimek to award the bid for the softball fencing at the FENCING <br /> new softball complex to Metropolitan Fencing. This award <br /> would be for a total of $12,600 with Metro Fencing putting <br /> it in per lineal foot up to that dollar amount. Ayes, 8; <br /> Nayes, None. <br /> The Mayor proclaimed the week of April 17th thru PROCLAMATION - <br /> 23rd, 1983 to be National Library Week. LIBRARY <br /> WHEREAS, America's libraries are free and accessible <br /> to all people; and <br /> WHEREAS, libraries provide us with the vital resources <br /> we need and want; and <br /> WHEREAS, the quality of the services rendered by our <br /> libraries depends on community support; and <br /> WHEREAS, our City library is celebrating National <br /> Library Week with the theme, "Go for it. Use your Library"; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, that theme encourages us to strive to achieve <br />- our very vest in everything'wedo and to use the services and <br /> resources of our libraries to reach our goals; <br /> THEREFORE, I Lu Stoffel, Mayor of the City of Hastings, <br /> Minnesota, proclaim April 17-23, 1983, NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK in <br /> the City of Hastings, Minpesota, and urge all citizens to make <br /> use of the vast resources at our library this week and through- <br /> out the year. <br /> Moved by Councilman Werner, seconded by Councilman ORDINANCE 11134 - <br /> Pike to pass the 3rd and final reading of the Ordinance REZONING FROM A TO R-3 <br /> amendment rezoning Riverwood 2nd Addition - Star Rea1ty- MANUFACTURED <br /> from A to R-3. Ayes, 8; Nayes, None. HOMES - PRD <br /> Moved by Councilman Pike, seconded by Councilman SPECIAL USE PERMIT - <br /> Plan to approve the Special Use Permit - Two Family Conversion- 306 WEST 2ND STREET <br /> 306 West 2nd Street - Mr. and Mrs. Leigh Nelson. This special <br /> use permit is subject to the widening of the driveway to provide <br /> one additional parking stall. Ayes, 8; Nayes, None. <br />
