223 Hastings, Minnesota April 4, 1983 The City Council of the City of Hastings, Minnesota met in a regular meeting Monday, April 4, 1983 at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall. r Members Present: Councilmen Karnick, Nesbitt, Klimek, Pike, Plan, Kulzer, Trautmann, Werner, and Mayor Stoffel. Members Absent: None. The Mayor called for additions or corrections to the minutes of the meeting of March 21, 1983 and hearing none declared the minutes approved as presented. The Mayor called for additions or corrections to the Special meeting of March 30, 1983 and hearing none declared the minutes approved orI as presented. m The Mayor opened the public hearing at 7:32 p.m. PUBLIC HEARING - 0 to m consider the rezoning request for a mobile home park - Sonden - REZONING ~ SONDEN in a A to an R-5 zoning district. Legal notices of the hear- MOBILE HOME PARK m ing were read into the record by the City Planner. Everyone PROPOSAL <( desiring to speak on the matter was given the opportunity to do so. The Mayor closed the public hearing at 7:41 p.m. Moved by Councilman Nesbitt, seconded by Councilman Trautmann to pass the 2nd Reading of the rezoning request from an A to an R-5 for a mobile home park - Willis Olson. This is subject to the developer following the development review pro- cess and obtaining a mobile home park permit before any construct- ,--. ion starts. Ayes, 7. Naye, Karnick. , Moved by Councilman Trautmann, seconded by Counci1- AWARD BID - SOFTBALL man Klimek to award the bid for the softball fencing at the FENCING new softball complex to Metropolitan Fencing. This award would be for a total of $12,600 with Metro Fencing putting it in per lineal foot up to that dollar amount. Ayes, 8; Nayes, None. The Mayor proclaimed the week of April 17th thru PROCLAMATION - 23rd, 1983 to be National Library Week. LIBRARY WHEREAS, America's libraries are free and accessible to all people; and WHEREAS, libraries provide us with the vital resources we need and want; and WHEREAS, the quality of the services rendered by our libraries depends on community support; and WHEREAS, our City library is celebrating National Library Week with the theme, "Go for it. Use your Library"; and WHEREAS, that theme encourages us to strive to achieve - our very vest in everything'wedo and to use the services and resources of our libraries to reach our goals; THEREFORE, I Lu Stoffel, Mayor of the City of Hastings, Minnesota, proclaim April 17-23, 1983, NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK in the City of Hastings, Minpesota, and urge all citizens to make use of the vast resources at our library this week and through- out the year. Moved by Councilman Werner, seconded by Councilman ORDINANCE 11134 - Pike to pass the 3rd and final reading of the Ordinance REZONING FROM A TO R-3 amendment rezoning Riverwood 2nd Addition - Star Rea1ty- MANUFACTURED from A to R-3. Ayes, 8; Nayes, None. HOMES - PRD Moved by Councilman Pike, seconded by Councilman SPECIAL USE PERMIT - Plan to approve the Special Use Permit - Two Family Conversion- 306 WEST 2ND STREET 306 West 2nd Street - Mr. and Mrs. Leigh Nelson. This special use permit is subject to the widening of the driveway to provide one additional parking stall. Ayes, 8; Nayes, None.
