<br />18TH COURT - REQUEST Moved by Councilman Werner, seconded by Councilman
<br />TO CONSTRUCT STREET Klimek to approve the request to privately construct street
<br /> surfacing on 18th Court. This is subject to the design conform- ~
<br /> ing the approved drainage plan and meeting present standards and
<br /> specifications, for construction, including inspection. Building
<br /> permits are to be issued after the above is covered by a deve1op- l,_ '
<br /> ment contract. A September 15, 1983 completion date is required.

<br />DUTCH ELM PROGRAM Moved by Councilman Trautmann, seconded by Councilman
<br />1983 Karnick to amend the main motion to continue the 1983 Dutch Elm
<br /> reinbursement program for the public trees and private boulevard
<br /> trees. The City will pay 40% and the property owner 60%, there
<br /> will be no cost share on stump removal. The tree inspector will
<br /> be on a call basis from the City. Ayes, 7; Nayes, None.

<br />RESIGNATION - FIREMAN Moved by Councilman Klimek, seconded by Councilman
<br /> Pike to accept the resignation of Michael McMahon and Trent
<br /> Wilcox as volunteer fire fighters. The Council expresses its

<br />POWERS BUDGET Klimek to approve the 1983-84 Joint Powers Budget Agreement

<br />DELETION OF PARK Moved by Councilman Pike, seconded by Councilman
<br />NAME FROM AGENDA Kulzer to delete the name on the agenda of the Softba11/

<br />RULES AND REGULATIONS - Moved by Councilman Kulzer, seconded by Councilman
<br />SOFTBALL/BASEBALL PARK Trautmann to adopt the rules and regulations as presented, for
<br /> the Softball/Baseball Complex Park, with the exception of (1)
<br /> under the Term and Operations 112. f. - tournament director
<br /> shall hire an off duty Hastings Police Officer or an active n
<br /> member of the Hastings Police Reserve to provide security. U
<br /> (2) - there shall be no alcoholic beverages at the complex
<br /> and all reference to the alcoholic beverages in the rules
<br /> and regulations are to be deleted. (3) - Tournament games shall
<br /> provide $50,000/$100,000 liability insurance. (4) - All refer-
<br /> ence to lease on the rules and regulations shall be changed to
<br /> license. Ayes, Nesbitt, Pike, Kulzer, Trautmann; Nayes, Karnick,
<br /> Klimek, Plan, and Werner. The Mayor did not cast a vote but chose
<br /> to take the matter under advisement.
<br />DISPATCHING COST Moved by Councilman Werner, seconded by Councilman
<br />AGREEMENT - POLICE Kulzer to approve the draft agreement for the dispatch services
<br />DEPARTMENT that the Dakota County Sheriff's Office provides for the City
<br /> of Hastings. Ayes, 8; Nayes, None.
