<br />HASTINGS CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HASTINGS <br />APPROVING A SHORELAND SPECIAL USE PERMIT TO ALLOW IMPERVIOUS <br />SURFACE COVERAGE EXCEEDING 75 PERCENT IN THE DC - DOWNTOWN <br />CORE ZONING DISTRICT FOR RIVERFRONT ADDITION NORTH OF 2ND STREET <br />BETWEEN TYLER AND BAILEY STREETS, DAKOTA COUNTY MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Council member <br />moved its adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following Resolution and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Shennan Associates has petitioned for a Shoreland special use pennit to allow <br />impervious surface coverage exceeding 75 percent in the DC - Downtown Core Zoning District for <br />RIVERFRONT ADDITION a three lot residential and commercial subdivision, generally located <br />north of 2nd Street, between Tyler and Bailey Streets; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on May 9, 2005, a public hearing was conducted before the Planning <br />Commission of the City of Hastings, as required by state law, city charter and city ordinance; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS the Planning Commission recommended approval of the request to the City <br />Council subject to the conditions contained herein; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS The City Council has reviewed the request and concurs with the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF HASTINGS AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby approves the special use pennit for the following reasons, and subject <br />to the following conditions: <br /> <br />1) Maintaining site density is critical to preserving a viable downtown. The proposed building <br />is zoned DC - Downtown Core, and located within downtown Hastings. <br />
