<br />The City Council of the City of Hastings, Minnesota met in a
<br />regular meeting on Monday, February 5, 1973 at 8:00 o'clock P.M. in the
<br />Council Chambers of City Hall.

<br />Members present: Councilmen Collins, Schnirring, Kramer,
<br />Hallberg, O'Connor, Wilson, Driscoll, Novak,
<br />and Mayor Petersen.
<br />
<br />Members absent: None.
<br />
<br />Minutes of the last meeting were read, corrections made and
<br />approved.
<br />
<br />Moved by Councilman O'Connor, seconded by Councilman Wilson
<br />to set the date for the next regular meeting for February 20th instead
<br />of the 19th because of the legal holiday. Ayes, all; Nays, none.
<br />
<br />Moved by Councilman Kramer, seconded by Councilman Novak to
<br />hold over the third reading on the Taxi-cab amendment to the next regu-
<br />lar meeting scheduled for February 20th. Ayes, all; Nays, none.
<br />
<br />Moved by Councilman Novak, seconded by Councilman Hallberg
<br />to approve the appointment of Milo Simacek and Lee Erickson to the
<br />Natural Resources Commission to fill the unexpired term of Dale Talafous
<br />and Tom Wollmering. Termination date for Mr. Simacek is January 1, 1975,
<br />and for Mr. Erickson on January 1, 1974. Ayes, all; Nays, none.

<br />Moved by Councilman Hallberg, seconded by Councilman Kramer
<br />to approve the purchase of a compressor and generator to be used by the
<br />Street and Water departments. Ayes, all; Nays, none.

<br />Moved by Councilman Novak, seconded by Councilman Hallberg to
<br />approve the expenses for Wallace H. Erickson to attend the Labor Relations
<br />Seminar to be held at the Sheridan Motor Inn in Minneapolis on February
<br />7th and 8th, 1973. Ayes, all; Nays, none.

<br />Moved by Councilman Driscoll, seconded by Councilman Wilson to
<br />approve the following investment of City funds: Ayes, all; Nays, none.
