Hastings Planning Commission <br />Minutes of June 9th, 1999 <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />Commissioner Schultz called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m. <br /> <br />Commissioners Present: Flom, Donndelinger, Harrington, Schultz,, and Strauss <br />Commissioners Absent: Anderson <br />Staff Present: City Planner, Matt Weiland. <br /> <br />3. Public Hearing -Minor Subdivision (6th St E + Vermillion) <br /> <br />City Planner, Matt Weiland presented background information on this subject.. <br /> <br />Public Hearing Opened at 7:05 pm for the Rezoning. <br /> <br />Public Comments: There were no public comments. <br /> <br />The Public Hearing was closed at 7:05 pm <br /> <br />Planning Commission Action: <br /> <br />Commissioner Strauss made a motion and Commissioner Donndelinger made a second to recommend <br />approval to the City Council of the minor subdivision subject to the following conditions: <br />1. Approval of a resolution waving platting requirements. <br />2. The resolution waving platting requirements and a certificate of survey shall be recorded with the County. A <br />copy of the certificate of survey shall also be filed with the City. <br />3. The two homes on the lots must be converted to single family homes. <br />4. The applicant must add a utility easement to the survey to be recorded with the survey. <br /> <br />Upon vote taken, Ayes, 5; Nays, 0. Motion Carried <br /> <br />3. Special Use Permit- Soil Processing Permit (Hoist Excavating-1999) <br /> <br />City Planner, Matt Weiland presented background information on this subject.. <br /> <br />Planning Commission discussion: The Planning Commission was concerned with the environmental impacts of <br />this project. The neighbors were mainly concerned with water quality and safety of their wells. <br /> <br />Planning Commission Action: <br /> <br />Commissioner Harrington made a motion and Commissioner Flom made a second to recommend <br />approval of the Special Use Permit <br /> <br />Upon vote taken, Ayes, 2; Nays, 3. Motion did not Carry. <br /> <br />Commissioner Strauss then made a second motion and Commissioner Donndelinger made a second to <br /> <br /> <br />
