4-5-00 <br /> Hastings City Council <br /> We are requesting a refund on a disconnect charge on our previous water bill. Our water service was apparently disconnected in June at <br /> some time. <br /> We were on vacation when the disconnect notice was taken to our house. We returned the weekend of June 24th. We called the billing <br /> department and explained we never received the bill. W(;immediately did pay what we owed,and we were told we wouldn't be charged <br /> the disconnect fee, since we didn't receive the bill. <br /> In August,we received our next bill 2 days prior to the due date. It also included a$50 disconnect fee. <br /> The bill that was sent out July 30th,went to the wrong address,which I'm sure is what caused the delay,and we are assuming this is <br /> what happened to the previous bill. <br /> For this reason,we do not feel it is our fault that our payment was late and would like to be refunded the$50 fee. <br /> If you look at our history of payments from 313 East 4th Street,you will see that we were very prompt with all of our payments. <br /> Sincerely, <br /> Rich and Linda Myklebust <br /> 121 E 5th ST <br /> Hastings,MN <br /> 55033 <br />
