City of Hastings April 16,2007 <br /> City Council Minutes Page 4 of 4 <br /> On the original motion as amended, 7 Ayes, nays none. <br /> Tobacco Free Parks Presentation <br /> Representatives from Dakota County Public Health and students from Hastings <br /> High School presented information requesting that the City consider proclaiming all <br /> City parks and recreational facilities as tobacco free. <br /> The Council thanked the group for their presentation and directed staff to <br /> prepare a tobacco-free resolution for the Council to adopt at a future date. <br /> Resolution—Support for Assuming Operations of Youth First Programs <br /> Moved by Councilmember Schultz, seconded by Councilmember Hazlet to <br /> approve the resolution as presented. <br /> 6 Ayes; Nays, none. Councilmember Slavik abstained. <br /> Approve Firefighter Relief Association Pension Increase <br /> Moved by Councilmember Riveness, seconded by Councilmember Hollenbeck <br /> to approve the increase as presented. <br /> 7 Ayes; Nays, none. <br /> Approve Ambulance Rate Increase <br /> Fire Chief Holmes stated that the rate change will result in simplified fee <br /> structure for both users and the City. <br /> Moved by Councilmember Slavik, seconded by Councilmember Schultz to <br /> approve the rate adjustment as presented. <br /> 7 Ayes; Nays, none. <br /> First Reading/Order Public Hearing—Bulk Storage of Liquefied Petroleum <br /> Moved by Councilmember Hollenbeck, seconded by Councilmember Riveness <br /> to approve the first reading and order the public hearing as presented. <br /> 7 Ayes; Nays, none. <br /> First Reading/Order Public Hearing—Hardwire Alarm Ordinance <br /> Moved by Councilmember Hazlet, seconded by Councilmember Riveness to <br /> approve the first reading and order the public hearing as presented. <br /> 7 Ayes; Nays, none. <br /> LeDuc Estate Activities <br /> Chad Roberts of the Dakota County Historical Society stated that the LeDuc <br /> Estate had over 4,800 visits in 2006 and over 1,200 hours of volunteer time was <br /> donated.
