MINUTES OF HASTINGS PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />MONDAY, MARCH 14, 1983 <br />7:15 P.M. EARLY MEETING <br />7;30 P.M. REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br /> The early meeting to interview Barbara Martin for the Planning <br />Commission vacancy was opened at 7:15 P.M. by Chairman Murphy. <br /> <br />Members Present: Commissioners Murphy, Swanson, Stevens, Reuter, <br /> Anderson, and Wendler. <br /> <br /> The Commission interviewed Barbara Martin for the <br />Planning Cormnission vacancy. <br /> <br />INTERVIEW OF PLANNING <br />COMMISSION APPLICANT <br /> <br /> The regular meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. <br />by Chairman Murphy. <br /> <br />Members Present: Commissioners Murphy, Swanson, Stevens, Reuter, <br /> Conzemius, Anderson, and Wendler. <br /> <br />Members Absent: Commissioners Bultman and Simacek. <br /> <br /> Moved by Con~nissioner Swanson, seconded by Commis- <br />sioner Wendler to approve the Minutes of the February <br />28, 1983 Planning Commission Meeting. 7 Ayes, 0 Nayes. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br /> Chairman Murphy opened the Public Hearing at 7:32 <br />P.M. The Planner indicated that on file was a copy of <br />the Notice of Public Hearing, Affidavit of Publication, <br />and Certificate of Mailing. The Planner informed the <br />Commission that this Public Hearing had been rescheduled <br />from the last meeting because it was discovered that the <br />required mailing list had not been sent out for the last <br />meeting. After all people present had an opportunity to <br />be heard on the matter, Chairman Murphy closed the Public <br />Hearing at 7:35 P.M. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING - <br />PRELIMINARY PLAT AND <br />PRD PERMIT - RIVERWOOD <br />2ND ADDITION - SOUTH <br />SIDE OF COUNTY ROAD <br />#47 NEAR THE VER- <br />MILLION RIVER - STAR <br />REALTY <br /> <br /> Moved by Commissioner Swanson, seconded by Commis- <br />sioner Stevens to recommend approval of the Preliminary <br />Plat and PRD Permit subject to the revision of the storm <br />sewer plant to address staff concerns identifed in the <br />February 28, 1983 Staff Report, and a thorough review of <br />all gas company requirements by the City Attorney, that <br />the lot size and setback requirements of the R-2 single <br />family district apply to the development, with the excep- <br />tion that a 20 foot front setback for garage, five foot <br />side yard and 20 foot rear setback be allowed, that the <br />developers be permitted to construct public improvements <br />according to the subdivision ordinance, that all improve- <br />ments, including the walkways be constructed with other <br />public improvements, that Village Trail and Riverwood <br /> <br /> <br />
