MINUTES OF HASTINGS PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MONDAY, AUGUST 22, 1983 <br />7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:37 p.m. by Chairman Murphy. <br /> <br />Members Present: Commissioners Murphy, Swanson, Stevens, Reuter, <br /> Martin, Simacek, and Conzemius. <br /> <br />Members Absent: Commissioners Wendler and Anderson. <br /> <br /> Moved by Commissioner Conzemius, seconded by Commissioner <br />Simacek to approve the Minutes of the August 8, 1983 meeting. <br />7 Ayes, 0 Nayes. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br /> Chairman Murphy opened the Public Hearing at 7:38 p.m. <br />the Planner noted that on file were copies of the Notice of Public <br />Hearing, Affidavit of Publication, and Certificate of Mailing. <br />Thus, the Public Hearing was properly called. After all people <br />present had an opportunity to be heard on the matter, Chairman <br />Murphy closed the Public Hearing at 7:46 p.m. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING - PRE- <br />LIMINARY PLAT AND PRD- <br />WHISPERING MEADOW - <br />PLEASANT DRIVE AND <br />WHISPERING LANE - MIKE <br />WILLIAMS <br /> <br /> Commissioner Reuter asked where the garages were in the <br />site plan. The Planner indicated that they were tuck under garages. <br /> <br /> Moved by Commissioner Simacek, seconded by Commissioner <br />Martin to recommend approval of the Preliminary Plat, the variance <br />from the five acre PRD minimum, and the PRD permit, subject to <br />the August 19, 1983 Staff Report. 7 Ayes, 0 Nayes. <br /> <br /> The proposal involved a proposed bar and grill of approxi- <br />mately 2,304 square feet. The proposal basically met zoning re- <br />quirements. <br /> <br /> Moved by Commissioner Swanson, seconded by Commissioner <br />Conzemius to approve the site plan for McCabe's Pub subject to <br />the August 19, 1983 Staff Report. 6 Ayes, Martin Naye. <br /> <br />SITE PLAN REVIEW - <br />McCABE'S PUB - SOUTH <br />FRONTAGE ROAD AND <br />BAHLS DRIVE - MIKE <br />McCABE <br /> <br /> The request was to amend the list of permitted uses in the <br />C-5 zoning district to include gasoline dispensing. <br /> <br /> Moved by Commissioner Simacek, seconded by Commissioner <br />Conzemius to recommend approval of the proposed amendment to in- <br />clude gasoline dispensing without auto repair, as a permitted use <br />in the C-5 zoning district, as it appears to be consistent with <br />the original intent of the C-5 zoning district. 6 Ayes, Swanson <br />Abstaining. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE AMENDMENT <br />REQUEST - GASOLINE <br />DISPENSING IN THE C-5 <br />DISTRICT - DENNIS <br />McNAMARA <br /> <br /> <br />
