-3- <br /> <br />Planning Commission Minutes (Cont.) <br />3ulw 12, 197g <br /> <br />Moved by Gommissioner Kramer, seconded by <br />Commissioner Fischer to forward to the Natural <br />Resources Commission for their opinion the matter <br />of selling property which is part of the Southwest <br />Ponding tSasin and tabling ~him .item until a response is <br />received from the Natural Resources Commission. <br />Nine ayes, zero nays. <br /> <br />SALE OF LAND SOUTH- <br />WEST PONDiNG BASIN <br /> <br />The Planning Director informed the Commission that <br />a motio~had been approved at the last Council <br />meeting asking the Planning Commission to investigate <br />the possibility of rezoning Country Village Estates <br />and the unplatted property south which is bordered by <br />Pleasant on the west, Z3rd Street on the north, and the <br />Vermillion River on the south. The request involves <br />rezoning the property fTOm R-3 to R-1. <br /> <br />ZONING AMENDMENT <br />(REZONING) COUNTRY <br />VILLAGE ESTATES AND <br />R-3 PROPERTY LOCAqE D <br /> <br />SOUTH THEREOF <br /> <br />Willard Bauer indicated to the Planning Commission that <br />he owned the property south of Z3rd Street and he assured <br />the Planning Commission that whatever is developed on <br />the property will be a quality project. He also indicated to <br />the Planning Conlrnission that he wanted the property to <br />maintain its present R-3 zoning classification. <br /> <br />Chairman Glennie referred the item to the Kramer <br />Cornnaittee for further study. <br /> <br />Chairman Glennie designated hemself, Dick Walker, <br />and Ed Fischer as the official representatives to the <br />Minnesota Planning Association. <br /> <br />MINNESOTA PLANNING <br />ASSOCIATION MEMBER- <br />SHIP <br /> <br />The Planning Director indicated that an application HOME OCCUPATION <br />for a home occupation permit had been received from RICHARD TIBBITS <br /> <br />Mr. Richard Tibbits, a locksmith, and suggested that <br />the matter be referred to a cornrnittee for study. Chairman <br />Glennie referred the item to a special committee <br />consisting of Commissioner Linde, ]Aralker and Chairman <br />Glennie. <br /> <br />The Planning Director informed the Commission of <br />violations which have resutled from Polka Dot and <br />the Co-Op Creamery not complying with the site pla.ns <br />which were approved by the Planning Commission. <br />Several examples were cited of individuals which have <br />failed to comply with approved site plans and the <br />Planning Director recommended to the Cornrnission that <br />the necessary enforcement procedures be taken to <br />bring about compliance with the City's zoning ordinance. <br /> <br />ENFORCEMENT OF <br />ZONING ORDINANCE <br /> <br /> <br />
