PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES <br /> <br />TUESDAY, APRIL lA 1976 <br /> <br />7:30 P. M. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Chairman Glermie. <br /> <br />Members Present: Chairman Glennie, [Fischer, Linde, Stoffel, Stark <br /> and Kramer <br /> <br />Moved by Commissioner Linde, seconded by <br />Commissioner Stark to approve the Minutes of <br />the March Z2, 1976 Planning Commission meeting. <br />Six ayes, zer® nays. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />The Planning Commission interviewed prospective <br />candidates for the Planning Comnqission vacancy. <br />James Peterson received th~e (3) votes, Paul <br />D®ffing received two {2) votes, and Art Groth received <br />one (1) vote. The Planning Comnqission requested <br />that the name of Mr. James Peterson be forwarded <br />to the Council for appointment to the Planning Com~mission. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENT OF <br />NEW PLANNING <br />COMMISSION MEMBER <br /> <br />Moved by Commissioner Kramer, seconded by <br />Commissioner Stoffel to issue an indefinite special use <br />permit for the operation of a small animal clinic <br />at 220 East 2nd Street. <br /> <br />C®ncern was expressed by the members of the <br />Planning Commission that although there was no <br />problem with the present operat®r of the small <br />animal clinic, that problems could occur with a <br />different operator. <br /> <br />Moved by Commissioner Fischer, seconded by <br />Commissioner Stark to table the request for a <br />special use pernqit for Dr. Dayton. Six ayes, <br />zero nays. The item was referred to the <br />Krame r Committee. <br /> <br />The Planning Director recommended to the Plan~xing <br />Con,mission that before any recon~ukq~dation is <br />made for or against the rezoning of property for a <br />25, 140 square foot Red Owl grocery store, the Planning <br />Commission should refer this item as well as the <br />"Physical Development Survey" data to a committee <br />so that recon~endations can be made regarfling the <br />modification of the City's Comprehensive Plan. In <br />addition the Planning Commission members were <br />aaked to consider various questions that dealt with <br />the desirability of the project at the proposed location. <br /> <br />SPECIAL USE PERMIT <br />ER.
