-3- <br /> <br />Planning Commission Minutes {Cont. ) <br />April 13, 1976 <br /> <br />Mrs. Hazel Jacobsen was present to explain to the <br />Planning Commission that there is the possibility that <br />Hastings could be selected for the site o£ the new <br />Dakota County Historical Museum. At the present <br />time Dakota County is attempting to work out some <br />problems with South St. Paul regarding the location <br />of the building in that community, and if these problems <br />cannot be resolved it raCy be possible for Hastings to <br />prsvide a site for the Museum. <br /> <br />Moved by Commissioner Fischer, seconded by <br />Comnaissioner Stoffel to have the Planning C~,mmission <br />gs on record supporting the n%usemr~ proposal, and <br />the general location of the museum subject to the <br />apprspriate parties submitting applications to comply <br />with City requirements. Six ayes, zero nays. <br /> <br />The City of Hastings, in the Spring of 1974, requested <br />Dakota County to institute the necessary procedures to <br />establish the Vermillion River Watershed District. <br />The Dakota County Planning Departl~aent has finished <br />its report on the subject and has scheduled a public <br />hearing for April Zlst, 1976. <br /> <br />iM~ved by Comnaissioner Kramer, seconded by <br />Commissioner Stark that the Hastings Plarming <br />Commission go on record indicating their continued <br />concern for the establishment of a Vermillion River <br />Watershed District, and urges the County ts take <br />the appropriate action to establish a watershed district, <br />or alternative. Six ayes, zero nays. <br /> <br />Moved by Commissioner Fischer, sec®nded by <br />Conamissioner Linde that the necessary changes be <br />made by Polka Dot to con,ply with the site plan which <br />was approved by the City of Hastings. Six ayes, <br />zero nays. <br /> <br />h.{oved by Comn~lssioner Fischer, seconded by <br />Commissioner }Xram.er to adjourn at 9:43 P.
