<br />Erosion Controls <br /> <br />Rock Driveways <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />Rock Driveway Installation <br /> <br />A rock driveway shall be installed immediately after the building foundation has been backfilled <br />and before framing begins. All contractors and material suppliers are prohibited from driving <br />over the curb and sidewalk. Contractors and material suppliers are required to use the rock <br />driveway as access to the site. <br /> <br />Rock Driveway Design <br /> <br />The rock driveway shall be constructed of CAl/CA2 Course Aggregate 1-2" rock - 6" deep per <br />MPCA Manual. There is a handout in the appendix from the Minnesota Pollution Control <br />Agency Division of Water Quality's Protecting Water Quality in Urban Areas: Best Management <br />Practices for Minnesota. <br /> <br />Erosion Control Enforcement <br /> <br />If the erosion control is not being maintained to the City's satisfaction, the City will withhold <br />additional inspections and/or the Certificate of Occupancy. Failure to install and maintain the <br />erosion control shall be a violation of this Code and, in addition to withholding inspections or the <br />Certificate of Occupancy, the City may also follow established procedures on issuing warnings <br />or violation summons as deemed appropriate by the City. <br /> <br />An erosion control fee of $250 will be charged with the issuance of the construction permit to <br />cover inspections costs. <br /> <br />11 <br />
