<br />WHEREAS, it appears that Toombs-Anderson is the lowest
<br />responsible bidder,

<br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Hastings:
<br />
<br />The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed
<br />to enter into a contract with Toombs-Anderson for painting the 150,000
<br />gallon steel elevated water tank, according to the specifications there-
<br />fore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the
<br />City Clerk.
<br />
<br />The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forth-
<br />with to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, after a contract
<br />has been signed.
<br />

<br />that the City Clerk be and hereby is authorized and directed to advertise
<br />for bids for the construction of a water well in the Industrial Park.
<br />Bids to be opened Tuesday, September 14, 1971 at 2:00 o'clock P.M. in the
<br />City Hall; bids to be awarded at 8:00 o'clock P.M. on September 20, 1971
<br />in the Council Chambers of the City Hall. Ayes, all; Nays, none.
