DESCRIPTIONS FOR AREAS BENEFITED BY WATERMAIN AND STORM SEWERS Part of all of the following described areas shall be assessed for over- sizing watermain and storm sewer facilities: 1. Pleasant Drive, 19th Street to 23rd Street - Concrete Curb and Gutter, Surfacing and Sdiewalk. The City Council proposes to assess all or part of the cost for such improvements against every lot, piece or parcel of land within the Corpor- ate-Limits that abuts upon said improvements according to the special benefits received without regard to cash valuation. The estimated cost of said improvements is $878,000.00 o Persons desiring to be heard in reference to the proposed improvements may be heard at said time and place. Dated this 5th day of February, 1973. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause said notice to be given two publications in the official newspaper and to give mailed notice to every property owner whose property is benefited by said improvements. Such publications shall be one week apart and at least three days shall elapse between the last publication and the date of hearing. ESTABLISHING POLICE DEPARTMENT FUND o Moved by Councilman Driscoll, seconded by Councilman Kramer that pursuant to the 1971 Minnesota Session Laws, Chapter 695 (M.S. 1971 Chapter 69) on State Aid to Police Relief Associations and Police Depart- ments, there shall be a Police Department fund in the municipal treasury to be used for police purposes. The Police Department budget will be removed from the General Fund and set in an ear marked fund within the total budget for the City of Hastings. Ayes, all; Nays, none.
